Happy Mayan Skull Day!

untitled.jpg

and absolutley finally…

Just to make my life easy (always a good thing) I am now going to be blogging from Blogger rather than here at WordPress. Nothing wrong with here and it works well as a portfolio site but Blogger is, well, easier.

Check it out and see ya soon :-)

Finally…

The previously mentioned new project that is being put together by myself and writer colleague, Jason Cobley is now underway. Just to whet your appetite here is the first character design sketch. Full colour art is being done and you can see more of this stuff as it happens over on the brand new Frontier Blog.
See ya there

The Heroes Are Coming!

Stand by for an announcement.

Ever wondered…

…what actually goes on at an event attended by Draw the World Together? If you don’t know what DtWT is then shame on you. Check out the site HERE.

If you want to take a look at the NCsoft video of the goings on at Memorabilia 2007 where Mike Collins, Jamie Sims, Neil Edwards, Kat Nicholson and myself all sketched to raise money for charity just click the pic below.

Album Release!

Wot? Like a Graphic Novel?
No. Some of you may know that I play in a band called Cooper Black. Well, after much using up of spare time we have finally produced an album and have a launch gig coming up.
For news of the gig take a look at the Cooper Black website.
If you want a free listen to the album click HERE. Copies can be ordered through me. Just drop me a line :-)

Festival Gig

Update

So its all been a bit quiet recently. The truth is that I am currently working for a computer games company as a concept artists. The company is called Nik Nak and is part of the Kuju group. There really isn’t much I can show you at the moment as it’s all top secret there isn’t even anything on the Nik Nak site yet it’s all so new. Rest assured, as soon as we get the green light I will post images of environments and characters. Funny thing is, long time art collaborator Steven Baskerville works for Kuju as well. How strange.
Nothing happening Transformers wise for me at the moment. There was the possibility of doing a 12 issue series for IDW and it was a very exciting project but time really does not allow for me to roll up my Transformers sleeves at the moment. With regard to comics generally, is there anything else? Oh indeed there is. For some time myself and writer colleague, Jason (Bulldog Empire) Cobley, have been looking for a project to collaborate on and we have found it. Its a great story by Jason and I am itching to get drawing. A last few contractual details with the publisher to sort out and then its full steam ahead. The genre? Well its one that I have never tackled before but its one that I am sooo looking forward to. Again. As soon as we have visuals you will see them here (probably before anywhere else)

More news soon

Team up and save the world

so just 13 hours (at the time of writing) before Memorabilia.

Come along. Its gonna be a blast!

More Pages?

The pages uploaded so far have gone really well. Some I could have sold a few times over.
Due to hideous broadband connection problems here at the studio I have not been able to offer more pages for sale yet but rest assured that as soon as we are fully back online there will be pages from the vaults for your purchasing pleasure.

I am also putting together a system to allow the commissioning of art. What I am going to do is offer A4 (that’s roughly ‘letter’ size for the Americans out there) sketches to order and also a series of ’sketchcards’. Samples of these have been done and will uploaded to the site when we get the connection sorted out.

Till then…

Happy Halloween :-D

End of The Road

:UPDATE: The thumbnail pics of the pages here are being removed as they sell.

End of The RoadSo I guess we all remember those good old days of the Transformers Comic published by Marvel. I do :-)
Well I think I have finally found the last few pages of original art from that series. Can’t believe I have had some of these for so long. Its so cool to look back at some of those Neo Knights illustrations for me. At the time I had pretty much had my fill of drawing robots and the chance to draw ‘real’ people was great. An opportunity to show those editors at Marvel that I could take on Superheroes. Not sure if they were ever convinced ;-)

So here, finally, are the last few pages of a bygone age. All up for grabs at a super duper, knock down, bargain basement price. £25/$50 per page! I must be mad! Click and enjoy and let me know what memories they bring back.

Cheers Trans Fans
