Journey to the centre of The TARDIS
Missed putting these up last week but here you go. Only three scenes for this episode and there wasn’t time for pretty pictures, just functional ones. As you will see the show shots were slightly different from those boarded. the ‘tractor’ mechanism for the grabbing of the TARDIS was changed and made it a more streamlined process. the shot remained the same though.
The scene where they cross the bridge past the ‘Eye’ was going to be a wider shot but, wide is expensive
The scene where Doc and clara jump across the chasm originally had them walk along the cliff edge a bit but I guess in the final analysis they didn’t really need to.
So, as always, the boards serve as a way for the director to have a conversation with FX people and actors etc to see how the shot is going to look even if they do slightly adjust the angles.
